Becky grew up on the other side of the Cascades in Oregon. She attended Willamette University for undergrad where she received specialized training and experience in death, dying and bereavement counseling. After obtaining a Masters in Social work From University of Pennsylvania, she worked in community health, high school mental health, community organizing, and faith-based communities before starting in private practice. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Becky has a unique view of the social systems that influence thought, behavior, and relationships; it is this systems-based approach that enables Becky to assist individuals in seeing the impact of their health and mental health on roles in their families, friendships, workplaces, and communities.

Working from a strengths-based, person-centered perspective, Becky incorporates traditional cognitive behavioral therapy (how we think influences how we behave) with a holistic approach. She believes that as complex creatures, people need and deserve varied, individualized therapeutic plans. At Noonday Counseling & Coaching, it is our goal to work with you to determine personal goals focused on wellness.

Areas of specialization include: grief, loss, and transition, trauma, faith-based counseling, marriage, and parenting. Becky has received training in many different therapeutic modalities and loves to augment traditional talk therapy with art and play therapy, music, movement, and storytelling, for clients who desire it. She especially loves using the Enneagram with individuals, groups, and businesses as a way to increase self-awareness, growth, and relational strength.

On a personal note, Becky lives with her family in Bend, where they love to spend as much time as possible on the river--riverwalking, paddle boarding, fly fishing, and floating.
